In order to understand the progress and execution of the major topics of graduate education research supported by the project in 2019, strengthen the communication between the topics and urge the projects to advance with high quality, the Joint Association of Deans of Graduate Schools of China launched the mid-term assessment of the major topics of graduate education research supported by the project in 2019 in March 2021, and the mid-term assessment review meeting was successfully held in the afternoon of March 31.


Considering the epidemic prevention and control, this mid-term assessment was held in the form of online meeting evaluation. The evaluation group of the meeting consisted of Prof. Wang Junzheng, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Beijing University of Technology, Prof. Wan Xuehong, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Sichuan University, Prof. Wu Hongchun, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Prof. Zhou Xianli, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Prof. Zhou Wenhui, President of Journal of Degree and Graduate Education. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Wang Junzheng. Director Liao Xiaoling of the Secretariat of the Joint Council of Deans attended the meeting.


At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the expert group unanimously recommended Prof. Wang Junzheng to be the leader of the expert group of this review meeting.

The six project groups of Nanjing University "Research on Doctoral Student Triage Mechanism" and Zhejiang University "Research on Full-time Academic Degree Postgraduates' Coordinated Enrollment and Cultivation Reform" reported on the research objectives and contents of the projects from the aspects of overall progress in the mid-term, milestones, problems and suggestions in the implementation process. The experts at the meeting spoke highly of the results achieved by each project and made pertinent suggestions for each project.


The expert group unanimously agreed that all six major topics supported by the 2019 project passed the mid-term assessment.
